2004 Lineup

Martina McBride & Alan Jackson (12 Nov 2004 - Phillips Arena - Atlanta)

Brooks and Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson (24 October 2004-Hifi Buys-Atlanta w/ pictures)

Dierks Bentley - (15 September 2004 - Georgia Theatre - Athens, GA ) - Well, I must be getting old.  I knew it was going to be a late night.. but I didn't know how long it was going to be.  Cross Canadian Ragweed, who hit the stage about 10:00, opened for Dierks.  It had to be one of the worst shows I've seen.  They had one decent song of their own and a couple of Waylon covers. The rest wasn't worth listening (and who could actually understand what they were saying).  They played for TWO hours.  Dierks came on a little after midnight and played for about an 1 1/2 hours.  He played two new songs that he was trying out... he needs to keep looking for new songs.  The rest was a high energy great show.  I just wish it had started a little earlier.

Rascal Flatts  (2 September 2004) - CMT Concert Taping - Really awesome.   . I just got home from the taping and it was just awesome.  And if those 4-5 songs are the leading indicator of this new album.. OMG!!!!  It is going to be absolutely FANTASTIC! not just good or great.. But incredibly FANTASTIC!!  "Fast cars and Freedom" and "Bless the Broken Road" are my new favorite (of course, they played Broken Road 3 times... 'cause they "messed it up"... I think they just wanted us to know the words for the cameras). Probably no more than 400 hundred people all closed into the stage.  This new album will be fabulous.  Jay was funny and relaxed.  Gary's voice was just beautiful.  Joe Don was just hot..

Jewel (9 Aug 2004 - Chastain Park - Atlanta) - What an absolutely incredible voice.  I've never seen Jewel before and it was great.  She has such a range and makes you want to sit on the edge of your seat to hear every note.

Reba McEntire (7 Aug 2004 - Chastain Park - Atlanta) - What an complete entertainer!! She played a really good mix of old and new.. I wish she had gone on all night.

Lyle Lovett (27 Jul 2004 - Chastain Park - Atlanta) -  Good show.. First time in 4 years that it hasn't rained for this concert.  It was great to hear him from beginning to end.

Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and Uncle Kracker (23 July 2004 - Hifi Buys- Atlanta Section 206) - The concert was fabulous. As always, Kenny just rocked the crowd. I still say, he is the best entertainer since Garth Brooks!! No body sat down and everyone sang all the songs. Just when you thought it couldn't get louder, Kenny brought David Green and David Pollack (Georgia Football Team star players) on stage during "Back Where I Come From". The crowd was "barking" like they do at the Georgia games. Uncle Kracker and Rascal Flatts opened. Great opening acts like this and the Macon show (Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban) just make the party start early and by the time Kenny comes on the party is just hitting the peak. There is nobody I'd rather spend my money on than Kenny Chesney!!!  No pics this time.. I was tooo far back. But at least I had a seat. Three shows down (Macon, Vegas, Atlanta), and where to go next?

Harry Connick, Jr. (x Jun 2004 - Chastain Park - Atlanta) -  Very entertaining.  Has a great stage personality and interaction with the crowd.  Just a great show to sit back, drink a glass of wine, and enjoy the music and atmosphere.

Brian McComas and Chris Cagle (19 Jun 2004 - Lanierland - Cumming, GA) Brian McComas has to be one of the nicest guys as well as a great singer/songwriter.  Check out the pictures!  He even signed his hat and gave it to my sister.  Chris Cagle was full of energy and sounded great!  It was good to have him back.  Pictures -- HERE!!

Tim McGraw, Warren Brothers, Big and Rich (17 Jun 2004- Hifi Buys - Atlanta) - 11th Row -- What a show!  Warren Brothers started out great!!.. I got my picture made with them and they pointed me out in the crowd (mostly because I stood up and sang the whole time.) -- Click here to see the pictures--- HERE!

Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and Uncle Kracker (12 June 2004, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV) -Thanks Kimberly.. So glad I was able to find a ticket to this show.  It was a last minute stopover on a business trip.  The "boys" just electrified the stage and i have to admit that I came away a bigger fan of Rascal Flatts than I had been before.  You certainly couldn't tell that Kenny was recovering from laryngitis.

Country Fair (22 May 2004, Hifi Buys - Atlanta) Lonestar, Gary Allen, Phil Vasser, Rushlow - 5th Row - Totally went to see Phil Vassar and Gary Allen.. It was fabulous!!

Rick Springfield 14 May 2004 - Atlanta, GA - Chastain Park

Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, and Keith Urban (23 Apr 2004, Macon, GA) - 26th row seats - Great show!! Best since Garth Brooks

2003 Shows

Toby Keith - 3 Oct 2003 - Atlanta, GA - Hifi Buys - with Blake Shelton and Montgomery Gentry -??

Brooks and Dunn with Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Jeff Bates, and Aaron Lines 25 Jul 2003 - Atlanta, GA - Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre

Kenny Chesney (3 Jul 2003)- (Karen’s opinion – This was my favorite show, by far. We had great seats. Openers were Deana Carter and Keith Urban. Keith and his band were great. As Scotty said, they are a rock band and they just don’t know it. Susan managed to get some guitar picks from Keith Urban as well. Every song that Kenny played was either one of his singles or a cover. The best part of the concert was when we got to rush the stage during Kenny! Deana, Keith, and Peyton Manning came out towards the end of the concert. They all ended up signing autographs for those who were close to the stage. I got autographs from Keith, Peyton, and Kenny!)

James Taylor (2 Jun 2003) -  Best concert.. how can you not love James Taylor.. just listening to the music makes you relax.  Great show.  (Karen’s opinion – This was a good concert. I didn’t know a lot of the songs, but the ones I did were good.)

Jimmy Buffett (18 Apr 2003)  - Great show as always.. first outdoor concert where it hasn't rained.. Always ready to go back to "Margaritaville"

Tim McGraw - March 18, 2003 - Philips Arena, Atlanta, GA - I was a little disappointed with the fan club tickets for the concert.  They were on the floor.. but two rows from the back.  It was hard to see Tim way up on the stage.  But Tim and the DanceHall Doctors played for 2 1/2 hours.  No opening act.. just Tim and the guys.  It was a great show.  He played many of his "classic" tunes and a few covers from Steve Miller Band and Elton John.  For the encore, he came up in the middle of the floor (only advantage to our seats) about two rows from us.  And he played Tiny Dancer.  He did a great job with it.  Great show.. wish he'd come back soon. I guess we'll have to wait for Kenny.

Tim McGraw & Kenny Chesney - 10 Jul 2001 - Cleveland, OH - Blossom Music Center - This  is where I learned the power of Kenny.  I was in Akron, OH for work and thought I'd check out was going on in the area.  Saw the Tim McGraw show and thought "I wonder if I can get I ticket?" So I go online to order a ticket and there is one ticket in row J.   I'm thinking pretty good seat until I get there.. and it's a GREAT seat.. 3rd Row.  I'm thinking "ya' know, I know a couple of Kenny Chesney songs .. so this should be okay.  I can't wait to see Tim."  Man what was I thinking?..
