Gretchen Wilson

16 July 2005 - Somewhere Under the Sun Atlanta, GA

Carling Academy, Islington, England

18 April 2005

Pretty amazing for the Redneck Woman in London.. This is a small standing room only venue that was about half full.  Gretchen started out with "Homewrecker".  She played most of the songs off her first release including "When I think About Cheatin", "Holdin' You", "When It Rains", "The Bed", and "Pocahontas Proud". Mixed in were a few songs from her upcoming album including "One Bud Wiser", "Skoal Ring", "California Girls" (no, not the Beach Boys version) and "Politically Uncorrect,".  The bonus track on her upcoming album is a Billy Holliday cover of "Good Morning Heartache" and was truly exceptional sung live.. She also sang a great rendition of a Loretta Lynn song and ever versatile she also covered a Heart song to show off her amazing voice. Her song, "The Bed", was well received by the crowd, but the crowd really got into the show when she played "Redneck Woman" ..and then "I'm Here for the Party" .
